Lucas Messina – Founder & Director of Renewed Purpose Ministries

 

Biography

 

Lucas Messina is a dedicated Christian counselor, pastor, and advocate for holistic mental health and spiritual healing. With a strong educational background in theology, counseling, and business administration, Lucas has devoted his life to helping individuals, families, and veterans overcome emotional and psychological struggles through a faith-based approach.

 

Lucas holds a Master of Divinity and a Master’s in Christian Counseling from Washington University of Virginia, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Washington Baptist University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Business from Montgomery College. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, further expanding his expertise in spiritual guidance and trauma-focused therapy. His multilingual abilities in English, Spanish, and Portuguese allow him to serve a diverse population, ensuring that language barriers do not prevent anyone from receiving the care they need.

 

Beyond his academic achievements, Lucas brings a wealth of professional experience in ministry, counseling, and organizational leadership. His work has centered on helping individuals navigate major life transitions, including veterans reintegrating into civilian life, families facing crisis, and individuals struggling with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. His unique ability to combine clinical counseling techniques with biblical principles makes his approach to mental health both practical and spiritually enriching.

 

Recognizing the growing need for faith-based mental health support, Lucas founded Renewed Purpose Ministries, a nonprofit dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and Christian-centered counseling services. His passion for this mission stems from years of witnessing the struggles of those in emotional pain, as well as his deep belief that healing extends beyond mental health—it must nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

 

Lucas’s vision is to bridge the gap between faith and professional counseling, creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals can heal, grow, and rediscover their God-given purpose. Through his leadership, Renewed Purpose Ministries aims to serve veterans, families, and individuals seeking guidance, healing, and direction in their lives.
